Portland ad agency and marketing software provider introduce innovative marketing automation services
State’s campaign to attract new business will be first to benefit from partnership

PORTLAND, Ore. - March 1, 2005 - Sanda Communications and Marqui have partnered to deliver marketing automation services based on Marqui’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) and Sanda’s marketing expertise. The new services eliminate the need for technical assistance in common marketing tasks such as publishing to a Web site, collaboratively revising documents or automating e-mail newsletters. They are priced to serve the marketing communications needs of small to mid-sized businesses, franchises, non-profits and government agencies.

Among Sanda's first marketing automation customers is the Software Association of Oregon. Its "Move" initiative is designed to attract software companies and entrepreneurs to Oregon. Marqui enabled Sanda to build a Web site that allows the SAO to manage content from numerous cities and agencies from around the state, and it will be the engine behind Move's e-mail marketing campaign.

"When we began developing the Move campaign, we were concerned about our
ability to keep the content from so many entities fresh," SAO president John
Tortorici said. "But Sanda has shown us how we can use Marqui to make it a
relatively painless process."

Marqui’s SaaS lets anyone, regardless of technical skill, make changes to a wide range of content—such as Web site text and images, e-mail newsletters and press releases—with appropriate permissions, approvals and tracking.

“Marqui’s solution is ideal for organizations that are frustrated with seeing the lion’s share of their marketing budget consumed on outside technical assistance,” said Stephen King, Marqui’s President and CEO. “Sanda is well versed in helping clients eliminate such frustrations and is an excellent partner for companies who wish to automate marketing processes.”

Sanda provides process analysis, training and implementation services, customized templates and other support services that make it even easier for marketing people to get their jobs done. Once Marqui’s Web-based system is implemented, clients can easily access and update their marketing communications materials themselves.

“We’ve been looking for a solution for years to deliver marcom services to our clients more efficiently and cost effectively,” said Jerry Saveriano, president of Sanda Communications. “When I learned about Marqui’s Web-based, software-as-a-service approach to the challenge, it was love at first sight.”

Sanda Communications and Marqui will be offering a series of seminars showing companies how to get bigger results from their marketing budgets by automating time-consuming marketing processes.
