Sanda Communications
to develop marketing plan for Oregon's manufacturing workforce strategy initiative
CORVALLIS, Ore. - December 5, 2006 - Sanda Communications Vice President Scott McCannell announced today the agency has been chosen to develop a communications plan and Web site for the Oregon Manufacturing Workforce Strategy initiative. Sponsored by a consortium of public- and private-sector organizations statewide, the initiative seeks to strengthen Oregon's manufacturing workforce through education, communication and coordination.
"Many Oregonians don't know how important manufacturing is to the state's economy, nor are they aware that there are many high-demand and high-paying jobs available in manufacturing," McCannell said. "We are developing a plan that will help Oregon's government, business and education communities share ideas and best practices so that manufacturers, their employees and the state economy all prosper."
As part of the campaign, Sanda will establish a consistent "voice" for Oregon manufacturing in both print and online materials. Sanda is also developing an extensive Web site that will serve as a clearinghouse for information about manufacturing in Oregon, including news, events, industry groups, education and other resources.
