| Sanda Communications completes online training program for GE Security
CORVALLIS, Ore. - March 15, 2006 - Sanda Communications Vice President Scott McCannell announced today the agency has completed work on an online training program for GE Security's MobileView video surveillance system. The self-paced program--which includes 10 discrete modules--gives GE resellers a step-by-step guide for installing MobileView video cameras and digital video recorders (DVR) in buses, subway and light-rail cars and other vehicles.
"Installation is fairly straightforward, but there are many details and steps that have to be taken in the proper sequence," McCannell said. "Although we used the installation manual as a baseline, we also went out with one of GE's resellers on a bus install to see how it's done in the field, and pictures from that install are part of the program."
The training program covers the installation of cameras, DVRs, cables and accessories, as well as DVR configuration, system testing and troubleshooting. Each module includes audio instructions, photos and diagrams, as well as tips from experienced installers. An interactive quiz at the end of each module tests the users knowledge of key points.
