Make Your Product a Star -- Sanda Communications to give away free video blog package
PORTLAND, Ore. - September 6, 2006 - Sanda Communications President Jerry W. Saveriano announced today the agency will give away two video blog projects at upcoming Software Association of Oregon events this fall.
Sanda will choose one entry at SAO's High-Tech After Hours, Thursday, October 12 at The Corvallis Inn, 1550 NW 9th St. in Corvallis. The second video blog entry will be chosen at SAO's 2nd Annual Innovation Showcase, Thursday, November 9 at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI), 1945 SE Water Ave. in Portland.
"While many companies have started blogging as another way to reach customers, vlogs are an even more effective tool," Saveriano said. "With a vlog, companies can demonstrate how their products work, and some companies even encourage customers to post their own vlogs."
Attendees at both events will be asked to briefly explain why their product should be featured in a vlog on their entry forms. Saveriano said he's looking for entries where the dynamics of video can bring the product to life and put it to work in a typical application.
"Vlogs can build credibility with key constituencies--customers, engineers, product managers, market analysts, influencers and others," Saveriano said. "These people need to literally see and hear how the product and its various components work."
Sanda will announce the winning entries in November. For each winner, Sanda will develop a script, direct the video shoot, edit the video footage, and assist with integrating the finished video on the company's existing Web site.
